Blood Assurance supplies blood to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and hospitals throughout Middle Tennessee. Every day, local patients rely on blood donors for cancer treatments, trauma care, surgeries, organ transplants, childbirth complications, and countless other medical needs. Unlike many medical supplies, blood can’t be manufactured. It can only come from volunteer donors willing to take about an hour out of their day to help someone they may never meet.
When you donate with Blood Assurance, your donation stays local, helping ensure lifesaving blood is available for patients in Nashville and the surrounding communities before an emergency happens. The blood on the shelf today is there because someone in our community chose to donate.
So while the drama was fake, the need is very real.
