About the SBB (Specialist in Blood Bank) Program
The Specialist in Blood Bank (SBB) Program is an advanced, professional training pathway designed to prepare individuals for leadership and expert roles in blood banking and transfusion medicine. Through a combination of coursework, clinical experience, and practical laboratory training, participants gain in-depth knowledge and hands-on skills in areas such as donor testing, blood component preparation, immunohematology, compatibility testing, quality systems, and overall blood center operations.
