Therefore we have put together some of the most frequently asked questions highlighting the details of orientation and onboarding. This will give you the information and resources you need to get off to a great start in your new position.
What is new staff orientation? Orientation is regularly scheduled for the second Monday of each month and provides a broad overview of Blood Assurance's essential expectations and valuable resources. Where is the orientation held?Orientation will be held at our downtown Chattanooga office location.The address is 705 E 4th Street, Chattanooga TN 37403Phone: 423-756-0966
What time does orientation start?Report time for the first day of orientation is 9:00am E.S.T.
Where do I park?If entering from 4th Street, please turn into the 2nd entrance and park in spaces labeled "Blood Assurance". You will be given a parking permit on your first day to place on your windshield.
What do I need to bring on my first day?Bring 2 forms of identification to complete the I-9, eligibility to work in the United States. Click here to see a list of acceptable documents Bring a copy of a voided check for direct deposit information (We are 100% direct deposit). If you do not use a checking account, I will need the account #, routing #, and telephone number to the banking institution you would like to use.
What do I need to wear?Business casual dress is acceptable for classroom orientation. Uniforms (scrubs) may be worn in orientation but are not required. After orientation, you will be expected to follow the department's guidelines for your position.
How long does orientation last? Orientation begins with 3 days of classroom training for all new employees. Job specific training will immediately follow and will vary in length by position. Your "orientation period" will be complete when you and your manager both agree that you are ready for your new role.
What advice could you give me to make my job at Blood Assurance the best? Take control of your career. Although you will likely train alongside a current employee, you will be expected to take an active role to learn your job and quickly become an effective contributor and team member. Remember to ask your supervisor and your work colleagues when you need help. Blood Assurance is committed to excellence in service, and therefore is always evolving.
